By using Meliya you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Meliya is a public app for creating and answering polls, surveys and quizzes. It is provided free of charge and “as is”, with no guarantee of availability. It runs on privately-operated hardware and may be taken offline at any time.
What you may post
You are responsible for anything you submit. Do not post content that:
- attacks or demeans people on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar characteristic;
- is sexual, graphically violent, or encourages self-harm;
- promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
- harasses, threatens, impersonates, or exposes the private details of a real person;
- is spam, or is posted in bulk to manipulate the feed;
- infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
Moderation
Content submitted by people is checked by an automated moderation model before it is published, and may also be reviewed by a person. Content may be rejected or removed, and accounts may be warned, suspended or terminated for breaking these rules.
Automated moderation is imperfect in both directions — it will sometimes reject content that was fine. If your content is rejected you will be told the reason, and you may appeal it. Appeals are reviewed by a person other than whoever made the original decision.
Poll results are indicative, not authoritative
Voting does not require an account. Repeat voting is limited by device and network signals, which are a deterrent rather than proof of identity. Treat results as an indication of opinion among people who happened to answer, not as a survey with a representative sample. Do not rely on them for anything consequential.
AI-generated content
Many polls are generated by AI models and are labelled “AI made this”. They may contain mistakes, and questions or options may be inaccurate. They are entertainment and are not statements of fact. Quizzes described as “IQ” style are entertainment and are not a clinical or diagnostic assessment of anything.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you allow Meliya to display and distribute it within the service, including in shared links and embedded views. Your content is not used to train AI models.
Accounts
Accounts are created through Google sign-in. Keep your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can use your Meliya account. You may request deletion of your account at any time.
Liability
Meliya is provided without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, from content posted by users, or from content generated by AI.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above will change with them.
